Effective Care

There are approximately 600 muscles in the human body and the skeletal muscles account approximately 60-70% of your body weight.  It’s no surprise that muscles are often a source of pain.

Following an injury, knots or nodules can form, causing significant pain when pressure is applied.  These areas are  called a trigger points.

The three main techniques to alleviate trigger point pain is finger pressure, spray-stretch and dry needling.  Finger pressure is the most common.

The greatest benefits of trigger point therapy is that is helps the exact site of pain of the individual patient.  Other massage techniques are broader and less personalized.

The end result of trigger point therapy is the patient feeling better, sooner.  This is due to the release of built up toxins, which collected in the nodule or knot.
